Welcome

The Traveling Hoot Show is a series of live music events and community gatherings held in the heart of Adirondack Park. Hosted and produced by Charlie Reinertsen of Twolined Studio, musicians and listeners are welcome Monday nights at venues throughout the North Country.

Check out the season schedule to learn about the unique listening room settings we will be visiting in 2026. If you would like to bring the Hoot to your town or venue next season, send Charlie a note!

Saranac Lake Hootenanny

It’s Mud Season Mayhem at the Saranac Lake Hootenanny!

March 9 through March 31 we have a series of Guest Hosts who are turning the Hoot format upside down with a series of wonderful events to wrap up our winter season!

  • Celebrate Women’s History month with Peggy Lynn and Dan Duggan as the featured artists for the evening, along with a pre-registered Open Mic that will feature songs by and about women. If you have a song that fits the theme, you’re welcome to sign up for the 3 Open Mic slots via the sign-up sheet – first come first serve!

  • The night opens with a set from Isaac Newcomb, and then musicians are invited to sign up for an Open Mic where they will be accompanied by Isaac on synth, beats, and sampled sounds. Tasteful additions will make your songs sit in a new sonic space!

At the end of the night, stay for a Dewey Dubbs DJ set from Just Ben!

  • Cover a local musician! Join us on March 10 in the Great Hall Bar at Hotel Saranac to teach each other your original tunes. Already have a cover worked up? Simply join for the open mic where everyone is invited to cover a North Country musician.

  • Join Dani and the Night Terrors for a night of twisted covers! Take a song and reinvent it during the Open Mic. See you there for the last Saranac Lake Hootenanny of the season!
